The Rubber & Plastics Research Association (RAPRA) workforce has significantly increased since their historic revamp and modernisation of operations.

RAPRA now work alongside Made in the Midlands with a joint model, which aims to develop RAPRA’s research and development offering. With the continual increase of manufacturers adapting Industry 4.0 technologies, it became crucial that RAPRA restructure their offering.

RAPRA CEO, Jason Pitt explained: “We have made a lot of significant improvements to RAPRA since we acquired the business including the brand new website. One of the biggest changes is the capacity of our staff, we have a dedicated team that will respond to all enquiries as efficiently as possible.”

“We can now support members with a multitude of services. We have marketing, accounts, PR, social media, admin and research capabilities within our team. We are all looking forward to working alongside RAPRA’s new and current members.”

Throughout its lifetime, RAPRA has assisted thousands of companies to develop commercially successful products. RAPRA have teamed up with Pressvine, the PR software company to provide members with an additional way of distributing press releases.

In addition to publishing content on the RAPRA website, they will also cross publish onto their social media newsroom: rapra.pressdo.com. RAPRA now have access to over 30,000 journalists with the new system and will be able to support members in distributing news to the relevant media outlets and the wider polymer community.

RAPRA are utilizing the highly successful ‘Made in’ software application to power their new website. This means that members now have the option to publish their own news, blog and create a unique subdomain on the RAPRA website.

RAPRA and Made in the Midlands will be exhibiting at Surface World Live 2017 at the NEC Birmingham from 22nd-23rd March on Stand KC6. Surface World is the UK’s only event dedicated to surface treatment, product finishing and the coatings industry.
